Flash Wall

electricanviltattooflash

Over the last few months we have been hard at work filling up our flash wall with original hand painted designs.  We recently completed filling the wall with our own designs, but by no means are we finished.  Historically, tattoo flash was used as a way of showcasing an artist’s abilities as well as giving clients a selection of designs to choose from.  While we love doing custom work for our clients, picking something off the wall is just as valid when deciding what tattoo you would like.  Stop by the shop, check it out.

Getting your first tattoo

So, you're getting your first tattoo eh? We know that it can be a bit intimidating, but RELAX. We've got you covered. The first step is to pick your tattoo artist. Find an artist who's line work, color, etc. fits best with your vision. Once you've decided on someone to work with, you'll want to set up a consultation to discuss your project. You can phone the shop or stop in to do this. Feel free to bring any sketches, pictures or general inspiration with you. This will help you and your artist to get on the same page. From here you'll leave a $100 cash deposit and set up an appointment date and time. Your artist will then have a drawing ready for you when you arrive for your appointment. Any minor tweaks or changes can be done at this time.

Now that you're ready for your tattoo, here are a few tips that will help you both out:

- Don't come on an empty stomach. Eat a good meal beforehand or bring a snack if necessary (Please no stinky food. Think granola bars, candy, etc. )

-Practice proper hygiene and wear clothing that allows your artist to access the area that is to be tattooed.

-Don't show up hungover (or drunk for that matter ) Trust us, it's no fun.

-Breathe. When getting tattooed try to relax and regulate your breath. The less you tense up or fight the tattoo, the easier it will be for your body to accept the uncomfortable feeling and for you artist to make a nice, clean tattoo for you. It will all be over soon and you will have a beautiful new tattoo!

-Friends are great to have, but not always necessary when getting tattooed. If it is quiet in the shop we do allow a friend, but please don't bring an entourage. Please respect the artist and allow them to concentrate and do the best job that they can.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to call or email the shop. We're happy to help!
